Takashi Miike, the great teacher of Asia  




Takashi Miike, extravagant filmmaker, and great film controversy very extensive and varied, his films are strong feelings. 

Takashi is a cinematographic creator who dares with never-before-seen innovations advisable for lovers of the seventh art. 

Friend of the remakes, he has also made a triology. As a director, he is one of the most prolific in the world. 

Inspired by the genre of Thrillers, he makes some of his films an inspiration for filmmakers of that genre. 

Quentin Tarantino, a follower of Takashi Miike's cinema, is one of his greatest admirers. 

His cinema moves us to the culture of the Far East and shows us his peculiarities with naturalness as; samurais, yakuzas, etc. 

His most recognized work in the West is "Audition", 2000. It showing the popular culture, and loaded with a strong content not advisable for sensitive people, like most of his films. "Audition" is recognized as a masterpiece of cinema. Film of inbrerable memory, although for its followers it is not the best of the filmmaker. 

Also he's able to create cult films such as "Gozu", 2003. This film moves us to a very Western drama with which the reflection invades his usual style. This film shows an artistic quality when expressing violence, in difference to his previous films. 

Takashi Miike, the great teacher, for many people is the best filmmaker in Asia.
