Robert Englund, FREDDY KRUEGER. The success behind a mask
Robert Englund has undoubtedly starred in
one of the most famous characters in the history
of modern cinema; "Freddy
Krueger".
Before "A Nightmare on Elm Street", Robert Englund co-starred in one
of the best series in the
history of TV called; "V"
(invasion).
In addition to being an icon in commercial horror films, he has more than a
hundred appearances
in TV series and films.
His great success that brings him closer to the category of myth in the cinema,
came with the
character Freddy Krueger in "A Nightmare on Elm Street". As always says Englund; "I am
totally
grateful for the luck of being able
to star in the character of Freddy Krueger".
Englund was briefly considered for the part of Han Solo in the 1977 film Star
Wars.
He also participated in some chapter of the mythical Knight Driver series.
The film character, the actor, his enormous sympathy out of the scene ... I
think first is his talent
and his person.
